NDTOA Honors Dale Heglund.

Dale Heglund, who recently retired as program director of the North Dakota Local Technical Assistance Program (NDLTAP), was honored at the NDTOA 57th Annual Convention Banquet in Bismarck on December 4th. Dale was drawn from the banquet room on a photo-taking ruse to allow the crowd to prepare for the honor. When he returned to the room, he was greeted by a room all aglow with yellow and orange safety vests, as nearly everyone in the room was wearing one. The Photos show what he saw and his reaction. Dale also received the NDTOA President’s Award in recognition of his many years of work at NDLTAP, where he provided essential training to township officers in the state. NDTOA wishes Dale and his wife Jen a splendid retirement, although we are sure he will be more active in retirement than most people ever are in their entire lives!

The NDTOA membership adopted a resolution opposing the initiated measure that would eliminate property taxes at their annual meeting, which was held in Bismarck on December 4th, 2023.
